Responsibilities
- Operate all store equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
- Prepare product (e.g., pizzas).
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Requirements
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Strong verbal communication skills for processing orders over the phone and in person.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to make correct monetary change.
- Motor coordination for rapid and precise movements (e.g., entering orders via keyboard/touch screen).
Work Conditions
- Exposure to:
- Varying/adverse weather conditions (e.g., removing trash, outside tasks).
- In-store temperatures ranging from 36°F in coolers to 90°F+ in work areas.
- Sudden temperature changes.
- Food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters (e.g., walk-in cooler).
- Hot surfaces/tools (ovens up to 500°F or higher).
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
- Sensory Requirements:
- Talking/hearing on the phone.
- Near/mid-range vision for most tasks.
- Depth perception and ability to differentiate hot/cold surfaces.
- Temperaments:

Physical Requirements
- Standing: Most tasks performed standing (ceramic tile/linoleum floors).
- Walking: Short distances/durations.
- Sitting: Paperwork completed at a desk/table.
- Lifting:
- Unload deliveries (up to 50 lbs, dimensions up to 3' x 1.5') using a hand truck.
- Stack cases onto shelves up to 72" high.
- Carry 3-lb cans, 30-lb pizza sauce, or trays of dough (12 lbs per tray).
- Pushing/Pulling: Move trays on dollies (force up to 7.5 lbs).
- Climbing: Navigate stairs/ladder for maintenance, sign changes, or cleaning.
- Stooping/Bending:
- Forward bending at pizza assembly station (30–45 seconds continuously).
- Bending at front counter or while stocking ingredients.
- Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves or clean low areas.
- Reaching: Continuously (up, down, forward) for tasks like scooping ingredients or answering phones.
- Hand Tasks:
- Eye-hand coordination essential (continuous use of hands).
- Frequent/forceful use of forearms/wrists (e.g., shaping dough, using pizza peel/cutter).
- Pinching required for assembling cardboard boxes.
- Grasp cans, phones, pizza cutters, peels, and boxes.
- Tools/Equipment: Pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, pizza peel.
