About the Role
We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Customer Service & Print Specialist to join our team. In this customer-facing role, you will assist customers with their printing needs, provide excellent service, process print orders, and ensure projects are completed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, is organized, and can multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate machinery/equipment used to process mail and other print jobs to send out.
- Perform functions such as sort, fold, hand/machine insert letters and enclosures; process letter retypes and reprints; operate printers, cutters, tabbers, and pallet jacks.
- Provide monthly activity reports as requested.
- Operate copiers to print necessary documents.
- Efficiently and accurately pick and pack orders for production and prepare for shipment.
- Check-in, observe, and communicate with team members to assess areas needing assistance.
- Carry out shipping processes and procedures to maintain production efficiencies, including proper labeling on all shipments.
- Create, maintain, and run shipping records.
- Operate USPS, UPS, and all shipping systems.
- Maintain order and inventory accuracy, including daily restocking of picking inventory.
- Perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, divide, multiply).
- Process publication back-starts and missed copies.
- Maintain appropriate records and documents to support internal and external audits.
- Use equipment such as pallet jacks to move large quantities of work.
- Keep work area clean and organized to facilitate a safe and efficient environment.
- Learn and perform all other departmental tasks as needed to cover for absent team members, during peak workload times, or as directed by the Supervisor.
- Regular and reliable attendance at the worksite; this position is not remote or telecommute.
- Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
- Utilize an electronic time management system to input time, attendance, and paid time-off requests.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous customer service or retail experience preferred.
- Experience in printing, graphic design, or copy center operations is a plus but not required.
- Ability to learn print production software and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under deadlines.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to be customer-focused and provide outstanding customer service.
Skills
- Minimum intermediate end-user proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software.
