Customer Service- Mooresville Crossing Rack

About the role

In this role, you'll be at the heart of the Nordstrom customer experience by providing friendly service, resolving returns, supporting order pickup, processing transactions accurately, and mentoring new employees on the register. Every interaction is yours to own, and your ability to build trust with customers and teammates is what makes you stand out.

Responsibilities

• Deliver seamless, friendly service by understanding customer needs and owning interactions from start to finish, whether resolving returns and exchanges or supporting order and pickup inquiries
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer concerns with empathy, sound judgment, and a solutions-focused approach
• Accurately process transactions and ticketing using POS and store systems to support inventory accuracy
• Build relationships with teammates and contribute to a positive, team-focused environment
• Protect the security and privacy of customer information through education, compliance, and resolution of issues
• Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Loyalty program, along with new tools, software, and services that enhance the customer and employee experience

Requirements

• Strong ability to build relationships with customers, peers, and leaders
• Proficiency in multiple operating systems such as MS Windows, iOS, and Android
• Clear, effective communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to train and deliver POS/register training to support onboarding of new hires
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong ownership, accountability, and follow-through

Physical Requirements

• Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, which includes frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
• Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, which includes reaching for and lifting these items above the head
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds

Pay

$16.35 - $17.05 hourly
