Customer Service / Inside Sales

About the role

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a full-time creative, resourceful customer service representative (CSR) to work on-site in Olympia, WA. This role involves providing professional and timely support to our sales team and customers.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Managers to find products and services, solve customer needs, and build ongoing positive business relationships.
• Handle customer inquiries, quotes, order processing, expediting, and returns.
• Sourcing parts and assisting in generating sales.
• Assist in the stockroom and deliver orders to customers as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year customer service or inside sales, mechanical or maintenance experience.
• Industrial distribution or parts counter environment preferred.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to multitask, and a sense of humor.
• Written and verbal communication skills, including English grammar.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Computer knowledge including Excel. SAP/ERP experience a plus.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (MVR).

Pay

The typical estimated hourly rate range for this position and location is $20.00 – 25.00/hr depending on experience.

Schedule

This is a full-time on-site position, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
