About the role
This position contributes to the design of Mikron Corporation Denver (MDE) control systems. The candidate will program control systems and test using Mikron processes and rules. They will also participate in onsite installs and debug phases as required.
Responsibilities
- Advanced Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI programming
- Excellent knowledge of electrical hardware used for Industrial Machinery
- Excellent knowledge of electrical schematics and redline process
- Design, setup and troubleshoot Local and Remote IOD
- Demonstrate Advanced Safety knowledge of Industrial Machinery, ability to design safety circuit from scratch
- Demonstrate Advanced servo motion and VFD experience (startup, debug, tuning)
- Ability to integrate 3rd party equipment such as laser system, leak tester, camera
- Ability to troubleshoot various electrical and controls problems independently
- Attend Project Design reviews as scheduled by the CUS KAM or PM
- Familiar with Industrial Networking
- Familiar with electrical standards (NFPA 79, UL 508A, NEC, UL)
- Knowledge of C# or other OOP Language a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft suite: Excel, Power Point, Word
- High Attention to detail
- Support electrical and software design of machines upgrades/continuous improvement
- Support creation of electrical BOM and IO list
- Provide troubleshooting support to mechanical and electrical technicians
- Machine debug (PLC/HMI) from start to final installation at customer site
- Integrate 3rd party equipment
- Perform verification of installed IOR
- Responsible for accurately and timely generation of the Controls Engineering documentation package assigned to each customer project
- Support electrical design team for project designs or changes
- Support Validation team to test validation package per customer’s specifications
- Demonstrate knowledge of the ERP system, Electrical BOM creation, electrical parts selection, and tracking delivery dates
- Other duties as assigned by the CUS Technical Supervisor or CUS Manager
Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must have a valid state Driver license
- Willing and able to travel 70% of the year with overtime of 25%, including travel with little to no notice
- Available to work overtime
- Professional & Technical Education: High School Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering degree and 5 years of relevant working experience
- Ability to work hands on, as a team player as well as independently as needed
- May be required to work off shift hours and holidays
- Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of industry accepted engineering practices
- Special Skills Required: PLC and coding experience
