About the role

The Cedar Band Travel Plaza is seeking Customer Service Clerks to join our dynamic team. These roles are integral to our professional team, responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service, housekeeping, signs, pricing, and cash register operations (POS), generating sales, and handling loss prevention.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining standards, and demonstrating product knowledge.
  • Maintain an awareness of product knowledge, merchandise promotions, and advertisements.
  • Affix prices, sign merchandise, process, and replenish merchandise; assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and receiving.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and practices, including signing, pricing, and loss prevention.
  • Accurately and efficiently complete sales transactions and maintain proper cash and media accountabilities at POS registers.
  • Communicate customer requests to management.
  • Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner for simple grab-n-go meals.

Requirements

  • Ability to process information/merchandise through the computer system and POS register system.
  • Ability to communicate with associates and guests, read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.
  • Ability to freely access all areas of the store including the selling floor, stock room, register, and operate/use all equipment.
  • Ability to climb ladders and move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 0-50 pounds.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain productivity.
  • Working knowledge of POS systems.
  • Detail-oriented with great organizational skills.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and effectively manage time.
  • Professionalism for in-person customer service and client focus.
  • Problem-solving/analysis and teamwork orientation.
  • Proficient communicator with technical capacity.
  • Must have a valid Drivers License.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.

Qualifications

Skills

  • Customer service experience (in-person/face-to-face).
  • Experience with G-site POS system register.
  • Experience working in a gas station, convenience store, or other comparable operation.

Pay

$14.50 per hour starting wage

Schedule

PART-TIME, 20-30 hours a week (3-4 days)

Hiring for Mid-day and Closing shifts (8 hr. shifts)

Shift start times vary from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
