About The Role

The Customer Service Associate at Fuze Health plays a vital role within our Operations Management department. In this position, you will work collaboratively with team members and healthcare partners to deliver exceptional customer support and patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include managing patient inquiries via phone and messaging, conducting outbound outreach to recently discharged patients, and assisting with appointment scheduling and administrative tasks. The role requires a compassionate and professional approach to handle high-volume interactions, solve problems efficiently, and ensure patient satisfaction. You will become proficient in our software tools, including electronic medical records (EMR), Slack, and Five9, to facilitate smooth communication and coordination.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from an approved institution or equivalent documented training (e.g., military medic, EMT)
  • 1-2 years of healthcare-related customer support experience
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills at a high school graduate level or above
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify solutions quickly
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound calls to reach patients recently discharged from the emergency room to ensure continuity of care
  • Support inbound calls from patients interested in our healthcare programs, providing clear and compassionate assistance
  • Aid patients with scheduling appointments, answering questions, and transferring calls to appropriate departments when necessary
  • Handle administrative tasks to support patient care coordination and documentation
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and healthcare providers to maintain high-quality service standards
  • Develop expertise in our software solutions, including EMR systems, Slack, and Five9, to streamline communication and workflows
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies during all interactions
