About the role
This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while supporting the operation of the Bowling and Events Department.
Responsibilities
- Operates POS system to collect payments and allocate bowling lanes, lend out facility and/or equipment (karaoke, billiards, darts, ping pong)
- Promotes and conducts marketing events under the direction of Bowling Management
- Resets and cleans the facility once customers are done using them (lanes, Karaoke rooms, billiard tables, ping pong and dart areas)
- Checks conditions of all equipment and conducts generic maintenance and repair
- Conducts and manages lane maintenance and repairs on bowling lanes, pinsetters, and other bowling related equipment
- Opens and closes cash tills, organizes membership/game cards and coupons
- Provides customers with bowling tips and techniques
- Answers phone calls for all general inquires
- Conducts inventory procedure in accordance with company guidelines
- Conducts lane maintenance in accordance with company guidelines
- Conducts restroom checks and cleaning
- Resets, cleans and maintains shoes in the auto shoeser and conducts laundry of rags
- Responds responsively, politely with friendly demeanor to customers’ requests
- Assists with party reservations and hosting parties/events
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Open availability or flexibility for closing shifts/weekends preferred
Qualifications
- High School diploma
- One to two years of experience in a hospitality or retail environment preferred
Skills
- Customer service skills
- Ability to operate POS systems
- Knowledge of bowling equipment and operations
- Basic maintenance and repair skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff
