About the Role
Great guest relations are vital to Catamount. Customer service and cashier team members are usually the first point of contact for guests, making a positive initial impression essential. Cashiers must accurately process purchases, provide change, and maintain a balanced drawer in a friendly manner. Customer service staff handle phone inquiries, assist guests, and operate registers. Training is provided for all tasks.
Responsibilities
- Explain prices and promotions.
- Demonstrate general knowledge of the mountain to assist guests with inquiries.
- Sell lift and activity tickets.
- Answer telephone calls.
- Work quickly and accurately.
- Ensure payment is made for every item.
- Assist with closing procedures.
- Maintain a friendly, team-oriented attitude with a focus on guest service.
- Perform additional tasks as needed by your manager.
Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours/days, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Cheerful, patient, alert, and courteous demeanor with people of all ages.
- Basic computer and keyboard experience.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Well-groomed, self-disciplined, and willing to comply with uniform guidelines.
- Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
- Ability to count out change accurately.
- Ability to work harmoniously and diplomatically with a variety of people, including the public.
Physical Demands
- Shifts may include day, evening, and holiday hours.
- Regularly required to walk (including occasional outdoor walking).
- Frequent reaching, handling, grasping, and fingering of keyboards or cash machines.
- Repetitive keyboard motion.
- May require sitting or standing for extended periods.
