About the role
The CCS Companies are hiring for shifts in their Salem location. Hourly base pay is up to $16.00/hr ($17.00/hr if bilingual Spanish). On average, Associates are earning a bonus of $400-$600 every 2 weeks, resulting in an hourly rate of $22.00-$27.00 after bonus, with experienced Associates making over $30.00 per hour after bonus. No experience is necessary - a dedicated 2-week paid training program is provided to help you succeed immediately, along with a $1,000 welcome bonus.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a professional and customer-friendly manner with each account.
- Maintains knowledge and compliance with all applicable federal and state laws (e.g., FDCPA, UDAAP).
- Handles outbound and inbound calls professionally and knowledgeably, following the appropriate scripts when necessary; occasionally fields inbound calls with the same professionalism.
- Negotiates payment plans and settlements with clients' customers based upon client-specific parameters.
- Identifies disputes promptly and ensures proper resolution.
- Participates in various problem-solving and decision-making activities, as required.
- Demonstrates respect and regard for all clients, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous working environment.
- Promotes effective working relationships with their team and other CCS departments to help achieve department/company goals and objectives.
- Maintains work areas and equipment in conditions as required by department standards; operates assigned equipment and performs all activities in a safe manner.
- Performs other tasks as may be assigned by manager/supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum 1+ year in a Customer Service position preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communications skills.
- Moderate typing skills required (35 wpm).
- Basic math and written communication skills.
- Ability to be receptive to feedback, willing to learn.
- Ability to be receptive and responsive to change and to embrace continuous improvement.
- Ability to maintain a predictable and consistent full-time work schedule.
Qualifications
- Prefer one or more years of customer service experience, ideally in the collections industry.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Moderate typing skills (35 wpm).
- Basic math and writing skills.
- Bilingual/multilingual language skills desirable.
- Successful completion of a company-sponsored two-week training program.
- Must successfully pass background check required to obtain MN Debt Collector license.
- Coachable: receptive to feedback, responsive to change, willing to learn, and embraces continuous improvement.
- Ability to maintain a predictable and consistent full-time work schedule.
