Customer Service Advisor 1 - Reynoldsburg

This position is 100% in office. The employee will work scheduled work hours at the WesBanco Reynoldsburg banking center.

About the role

Helps foster a positive work environment that inspires, motivates, challenges, supports, and provides ongoing recognition for exceptional performance. Customer Service Advisors (CSAs) provide excellent customer service, identify sales opportunities, and perform account transactions. CSAs recognize immediate needs of the Banking Center and proactively support both Customer Service Representative (CSR) and sales platform activities. The role focuses on consumer and business relationship building, promotion of the Bank's products and services, and compliance with all established Bank policies, procedures, and security measures.

Responsibilities

• Personally model the standards of the Bank’s Mission, Vision, and Pledge.
• Initiate conversations to assess the financial needs of customers and make recommendations or referrals to business partners for bank products and services.
• Process all financial service transactions accurately, including opening new deposit accounts and operating a cash drawer while following balancing and cash handling procedures.
• Comply with security and audit procedures, uncovering opportunities for additional products and services, and making qualified referrals.
• Achieve production and referral goals through relationship development, customer consultations, outbound calls, business partner referrals, and onboarding calls to acquire or expand customer relationships.
• Communicate and partner with branch staff to promote a team environment and meet banking center goals.
• Execute outbound calling activities using customer lists to promote bank products and make appropriate referrals.
• Educate the bank team on uncovering opportunities to advance customers' financial wellness.
• Support day-to-day operations, including customer service, open/close procedures, vault duties, cash control, inventory management, and compliance with audit requirements.
• Actively participate in staff meetings and provide service on various banking matters, including resolving customer issues professionally.
• Build relationships with internal business partners and seek constructive feedback.
• Demonstrate sound judgment, follow established guidelines, and use appropriate resources for assistance.
• Maintain security controls to protect against fraud and unnecessary risks, keeping sensitive information confidential.
• Contribute to a team environment by answering telephone calls and performing additional duties to support the Banking Center’s success.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Proficiency in Bank policies, procedures, and compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Ability to generate new financial relationships through outbound calling, internal business development, and building a loyal customer base.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build positive customer relationships and clearly express concepts, ideas, and product information verbally and in writing.
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and flexibility.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook 365 and ability to learn various Banking Software programs.
• Sound mathematical and analytical skills preferred.
• Ability to solve practical problems in situations with limited standardization and interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 10 pounds.
