Customer Service Administrative Professional

About the Role

SAFEbuilt is seeking a talented and experienced Customer Service Administrative Professional to join our team. This position offers great opportunity for dynamic, motivated self-starters to work on a variety of work assignments as part of a highly respected team of professionals with a full complement of resources and exciting projects.

Responsibilities

• Interface with all customers to service their building department related needs.
• Issue and/or track permits through the permitting process, beginning with application acceptance, plan review, inspections, and permit closure.
• Establish and maintain systems to ensure that all files, letters, reference manuals, field inspection reports, permit files, blueprints, drawings, and other data or material is maintained in an organized fashion.
• Work with plans examiners and inspectors throughout the company to develop and ensure consistent processes.

Requirements

• 2+ years of administrative/customer service experience.
• Building and/or construction knowledge or background preferred.
• Permitting and/or municipal experience is a plus.
• ICC Permit Technician Certification is a plus.

Skills

• Ability to positively interact with staff members, the general public, contractors, governmental entities, and other clientele.
• Strong time management, organization, telephone, attention to detail, and people skills.
• Ability to perform multi-task operations with frequent interruptions.
• Perform a variety of duties requiring use of independent judgment and technical knowledge.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills and permitting software experience.

Pay

Hourly rate: $20-$22/hour.
