Customer Relations Outfitter
About the Role
The Customer Relations Associate performs various Customer Service activities, including greeting customers, handling merchandise, and providing information and direction. They ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience, manage merchandise returns, and support incentive programs. The role also involves selling hunting and fishing licenses, maintaining product knowledge, and keeping the work area organized.
Responsibilities
- Secure all firearms brought into the store with trigger locks.
- Check in Vendor representatives, complete visitor logs, and manage visitor badges.
- Greet customers in a friendly and outgoing manner.
- Handle merchandise returns and complete refund/exchange paperwork.
- Sort returns by category and return them to the proper area.
- Sell hunting and fishing licenses.
- Administer incentive and reward programs.
- Maintain product knowledge and awareness of advertised sales.
- Keep the work area clean, neat, and well-stocked.
- Follow all Company Policies and Procedures.
- Assist customers in making buying decisions by identifying needs, making product recommendations, and promoting programs like CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
Qualifications
- Minimum Degree Required: High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Skills
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change.
- Strong communication skills in a friendly and professional manner.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers, and customers.
- Proficiency in operating a computerized Point of Sale register system.
Physical Requirements
- Constantly stand and/or walk during shift.
- Constantly communicate with others to exchange information.
- Constantly repeat motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
- Occasionally work in low or high temperatures.
- Occasionally work in noisy environments.
- Light work involving constant lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds, and occasionally moving and lifting objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed).
