Customer Service Outfitter

About the role

The Customer Relations Associate performs various customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers, handling merchandise, and providing information and direction.

Responsibilities

• Secures all firearms brought into the store with trigger locks.
• Checks in all vendor representatives, completing visitor log information and controlling visitor badges.
• Supports a commitment to world-class customer service and ensures a pleasant shopping experience.
• Greets customers as they enter the store.
• Handles merchandise returns, including refund/exchange paperwork.
• Sorts returns by category and returns them to the proper area.
• Sells hunting and fishing licenses.
• Administers incentive and reward programs.
• Remains knowledgeable about products and advertised sales.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and well-stocked work area.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.
• Assists customers in making buying decisions by identifying needs, evaluating options, and making product recommendations.
• Promotes programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate discounts and make change.
• Friendly and professional communication with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Experience operating a computerized Point of Sale register system.

Physical Requirements

• Constantly stand and/or walk during shift.
• Constantly communicate with others to exchange information.
• Constantly repeat motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps.
• Occasionally work in low or high temperatures.
• Occasionally work in noisy environments.
• Light work involving lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds; occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
