Responsibilities
- Aid manufacturing teams in fault tracing and troubleshooting issues related to MicroVision supplied products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and investigate quality issues, defects, or non-conformities to define the scope of the problem and identify root causes.
- Support 8D activities and effectively implement containment activities to isolate, segregate, or quarantine non-conforming products and issue and communicate Quality Alerts to minimize the risk of quality issues.
- Inspect and test defective parts for conformance to engineering specifications and customer requirements using precision measuring and testing equipment.
- Provide support for new program part launches and process changes, including Change Requests and safe launch plans.
- Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for the development of PFMEA and Control Plans.
- Develop and document procedures and standard work instructions adhering to MicroVision’s Quality Management System.
- Maintain and monitor process capability and quality metrics, analyzing production data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to reduce defects and scrap.
- Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as First Pass Yield (FPY), scrap, rework, Defects Per Million Opportunities (DPMO), and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master's Degree in an Engineering or Technical related field.
- 3+ years’ experience in quality-related roles.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills.
- Robust problem-solving skills.
Skills
- Understanding of AIAG standards (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, etc.).
