Customer Facing _Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a candidate with a strong foundation in project management processes, tools, and best practices, along with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. The ideal candidate has experience coordinating with third-party vendors and is comfortable working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Strong communication skills are essential in this role, including the ability to lead meetings, provide clear and concise updates, and maintain effective communication with customers, internal teams, and external partners. The successful candidate will also demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly, think critically, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. A collaborative mindset is key, as this role requires working effectively across diverse, cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the sales process by contributing to solution design and development for customer projects
• Manage and help execute large, multi-functional, and multi-vendor service projects, including:
• Laboratory relocations
• Asset management programs
• Facility inventories
• Other CrossLab service solutions
• Aid in developing and maintaining project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource requirements
• Cook with customers to define project requirements and implement tailored solutions
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with customer expectations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, internal teams, and third-party vendors
• Lead meetings, track progress, and maintain clear and accurate project documentation
• Actively participate in on-site project delivery activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5+ years of customer-facing field project management
• Experience applying project management methodologies (formal training or equivalent experience)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working directly with external customers
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% or more, depending on project needs

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP certification
• Experience in laboratory environments, instrument service, or equipment maintenance
• Familiarity with GMP and/or GLP environments
• Pharmaceutical or life sciences industry experience
• Experience managing project budgets, including quotes, purchase orders, and invoice reconciliation
• Experience working with third-party service providers
• Lever Six Sigma certification or training
• Proficiency with: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint), Project and data tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Visio, SAP, Maximo, or similar systems)

Additional Details

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least August 4, 2026 or until the job is no longer posted. The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $116,800.00 - $182,500.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
