Customer Experience Attendant

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Experience Attendant to join our team at Weis Markets. This role focuses on delivering quality customer service, maintaining store cleanliness, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for customers and associates.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers cheerfully as they enter and thank them as they leave.
• Answer customer questions and provide assistance to ensure quality service.
• Retrieve shopping carts from the premises safely and efficiently, ensuring they are not left in parking areas and are returned to the cart corral.
• Empty carts of debris and remove defective carts from service.
• Assist customers by loading groceries into their vehicles.
• Maintain cleanliness of the parking lot, store vestibule, and front-end, keeping them free of debris.
• Manage trash and recycling receptacles, emptying and replacing bags as needed.
• Monitor and address safety issues, particularly in entrance and exit areas, to prevent slip and fall hazards.
• Assist cashiers by bagging groceries and respond promptly to intercom pages.
• Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, washing, mopping, and maintaining restrooms and break rooms.
• Replenish supplies and dispose of waste to keep the building and surrounding grounds orderly.
• Operate motor-driven cleaning equipment (if over 18 and properly trained).
• Maintain cleaning equipment in good repair.
• Keep the sales floor free of slip and trip hazards.
• Clear sidewalks and porch of snow and ice as needed.
• Dispose of trash and debris in designated areas.
• Notify store management of needed repairs, maintenance, unsafe conditions, or supply shortages.
• Cooperate with co-workers and supervisors to ensure smooth store operations.
• Continuously improve job performance and complete other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Completed or working towards a high school diploma or GED.
• No prior experience required.
