Customer Experience Attendant

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Experience Attendant to join our team. This role focuses on providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our customers and associates.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers in a cheerful manner as they enter the store and thanks them as they leave.
• Answers customer questions and provides assistance to ensure quality customer service.
• Retrieves all shopping carts on the premises safely and efficiently, ensuring they are not left in parking areas and are taken to the front porch for customer use.
• Empties carts of debris and removes defective carts from service.
• Helps customers by loading their groceries into vehicles.
• Keeps parking lot, store vestibule, and front-end clean and free of debris.
• Maintains trash and recycling receptacles on the porch, empties and replaces bags as necessary.
• Remains alert to safety issues, particularly in entrance and exit areas to prevent slip and fall hazards.
• Assists cashiers by bagging groceries as required and promptly responds to intercom pages.
• Performs general clean-up work, including sweeping, washing, and mopping.
• Cleans restrooms and break rooms, replenishes supplies, and disposes of waste.
• Keeps the building and surrounding grounds in orderly condition.
• May operate motor-driven cleaning equipment (if over 18 years of age and properly trained).
• Maintains cleaning equipment in good repair.
• Helps keep the sales floor free of slip and trip hazards.
• May clear sidewalks and porch of snow and ice.
• Disposes of trash and other debris in the back room, break room, front-end, and parking lot.
• Notifies store management when repairs or maintenance are needed or when unsafe conditions are observed.
• Informs store management when additional supplies are needed.
• Ensures smooth function of the department and store by cooperating with co-workers and supervisors.
• Continuously improves job performance.
• May complete other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Completed or working towards a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• No prior experience required.
