About the role
Weis Markets is looking for a Customer Experience Associate who values respect, teamwork, and community growth.
Responsibilities
- Smile and greet customers, answer questions, and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
- Follow company checkout policies to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Operate front-end scanning equipment and cash registers, including bagging merchandise and assisting customers with carts.
- Maintain transaction accuracy, ensuring correct charges and proper handling of cash, checks, electronic payments, and coupons.
- Adhere to security and cash drawer procedures to prevent overages or shortages.
- Follow store and legal guidelines for the sale of tobacco and alcohol.
- Stay informed about weekly ads, promotions, and store layout to assist customers effectively.
- Maintain department sanitation by following cleaning schedules and health/OSHA requirements.
- Dispose of trash properly and keep work areas, equipment, and displays clean.
- Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to ensure smooth store operations and continuously improve job performance.
- Use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as cut-resistant gloves, safety cutters, and company-sponsored footwear.
- Assist in other departments as needed.
Requirements
- Completed or working toward a High School Diploma or GED.
- No prior experience required.
Pay
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $15.00 to $22.00.
