Customer Experience Associate

About the role

Weis Markets is seeking a Customer Experience Associate to deliver exceptional service and maintain a welcoming store environment.

Responsibilities

• Smile and greet customers, answer questions, and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
• Follow company checkout policies to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Operate front-end scanning equipment and cash registers, including all related checkout procedures (bagging, placing items in carts).
• Maintain transaction accuracy, ensuring correct charges and proper handling of cash, checks, electronic payments, and coupons.
• Adhere to security measures and cash drawer accounting procedures to prevent overages or shortages.
• Follow store and legal guidelines for the sale of tobacco and alcohol.
• Stay informed about weekly ads, marketing promotions, and store layout to assist customers effectively.
• Maintain department sanitation by following cleaning schedules and guidelines for work areas, equipment, and displays to meet health and OSHA requirements.
• Dispose of trash properly and ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Cooperate with co-workers and supervisors to ensure smooth store operations and continuously improve job performance.
• Utilize all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including cut-resistant gloves, safety cutters, and company-sponsored footwear.
• Assist in other departments as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) completed or in progress.
• No prior experience required.

Pay

Hourly pay for this position starts at $15.00/hr and goes up to $22.00/hr.
