Key Responsibilities
Partner with Account Executives to lead the technical aspects of sales, from initial discovery to closing deals.
Design elegant data architectures using DuckDB, MotherDuck, and the modern data stack, focusing on simplicity and performance.
Create and deliver tailored demos and proof-of-concepts that excite customers and demonstrate the benefits of MotherDuck.
Translate business needs into scalable, cost-effective, and delightful technical solutions.
Work cross-functionally with Product and Engineering teams to incorporate customer feedback and influence the product roadmap.
Be a trusted technical advisor, guiding customers through their journey from pilot to production.
Build and deploy AI-powered automations to enhance efficiency and reduce manual workload.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a data engineer, analytics engineer, or similar, with proficiency in SQL, Python, and cloud-native data tools.
2+ years of experience in pre-sales or solutions engineering, preferably in the data or analytics sector.
Proven experience designing and optimizing OLAP workloads and building AI systems.
Experience with BigQuery, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and a keen interest in the modern data stack.
Knowledge of Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar agent harnesses.
Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Deep understanding of data warehouse architecture, performance optimization, and data modeling.
Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
