Customer Engineer
About the role
AegisAI is redefining email and cybersecurity with native, Agentic AI threat detection. Backed by $36M in Series A funding led by Battery Ventures with Accel and Foundation Capital, we build autonomous AI security agents that stop zero-day attacks, payload-less phishing, BEC, and shadow AI risks before they touch enterprise networks. Our mission is to replace legacy Secure Email Gateways (SEGs) with API-native protection that connects in minutes without MX record changes or infrastructure friction. We are fast-paced, product-led, and driven by deep AI engineering.
We are looking for a Customer Engineer who pairs deep AI fluency with hands-on technical architecture and customer-facing agility. As a Sales Engineer at AegisAI, you will be the technical powerhouse driving enterprise technical evaluations, guiding API-first installations, analyzing threat evaluation data, and architecting custom security integrations for prospective customers. You’ll bridge the gap between complex Agentic AI models and security operations (SecOps) teams, proving how AegisAI catches the sophisticated threats legacy systems miss.
Responsibilities
- Architect Enterprise AI Security Solutions: Partner closely with Enterprise Account Executives to design, present, and position AegisAI’s platform to CISOs, Security Architects, and SecOps leaders.
- Drive API-First Onboarding & PoCs: Guide prospective clients through seamless, read-only API deployments
