Roles And Responsibilities

  • Generate sales opportunties through outbound calls, email communications, and follow-up activities
  • Respond promptly to customer quotes regarding pricing, inventory availability, and delivery
  • Resolve customer concerns and coordinate solutions with management
  • Maintain and meet or exceed established sales and gross margin goals
  • Plan territory/account approach and manage own resources
  • Absorb and assist in training new team members
  • Create account development plans
  • Perform inventory management for customer-specific material
  • Communicate with operations team and may serve as a production meeting representative
  • Occasional face-to-face customer interaction and moderate authority/opportunity to set and negotiate product/service terms

Requirements

  • A high school diploma is required, with a bachelor's degree preferred
  • Three to five years of prior sales or industry experience are preferred
  • A solid understanding of product offerings, ERP systems, and markets served is needed
  • A general understanding of metal processes and products is beneficial
  • Proficiency in MS Office is required
  • Minimal travel is required, primarily local during the business day, with some out-of-area and overnight travel expected with advance notice

Pay

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

The schedule is flexible and typically includes occasional face-to-face customer interaction and moderate authority to set and negotiate product/service terms.
