ENTEK is seeking a Customer Care Team Member to join our team on-site in Lebanon, Oregon. Relocation within 40 miles of Lebanon is required.

About the role

As a Customer Care Team Member, you will manage customer orders from start to finish, including tracking, and serve as a liaison between ENTEK and customers to resolve issues and update orders based on customer requests. You will manage interactions with internal and external customers professionally, ensuring high-quality service. The role involves handling both domestic and international shipping, working with freight forwarders, and coordinating over-the-road, inter-modal, and multi-modal shipments.

You will collaborate with internal teams to track inventory, coordinate logistics, and ensure timely order fulfillment. Responsibilities include scheduling outbound shipments with internal teams, external partners, and third-party logistics providers to ensure on-time deliveries.

Additional duties include raw material management: performing weekly physical inventory counts (in-plant materials, colorants, minor mixture components, bags on trucks), managing vendor-managed inventory for restocking, handling bulk raw material purchase orders, purchasing and receiving, and verifying rail shipments (silica, polymer, oil) while interacting with 12+ suppliers. You will stay updated on domestic and international shipping regulations, including Incoterms and freight charge analysis, and proactively suggest improvements for operations, efficiency, cost savings, and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer orders from start to finish, including tracking and updates.
  • Serve as a liaison between ENTEK and customers to resolve issues.
  • Handle domestic and international shipping, including coordination with freight forwarders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to track inventory and coordinate logistics.
  • Schedule outbound shipments with internal, external, and third-party logistics teams.
  • Perform weekly physical inventory counts (in-plant materials, colorants, minor components).
  • Manage vendor-managed inventory, bulk raw material POs, purchasing, and receiving.
  • Verify rail shipments (silica, polymer, oil) and interact with 12+ suppliers.
  • Stay updated on domestic and international shipping regulations, including Incoterms.
  • Analyze freight charges and suggest improvements for efficiency and cost savings.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree and five (5) years of experience in customer service, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience in inventory planning and coordination.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents.
  • Proficiency in advanced algebra and trigonometry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills: define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Advanced computer skills, including designing, building, and navigating spreadsheets.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with departments such as sales, accounting, billing, and shipping.
  • Experience solving practical problems.
  • Satisfactory results from a pre-employment drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with steamship lines, rail, or aviation.
  • International shipping experience.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of customer service quality and recovery methods.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills for a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, starting at 7:00 a.m.

Working Environment

The role primarily involves tasks requiring the ability to talk, hear, sit for extended periods, reach, handle, and use finger dexterity, with specific vision abilities including close, color, and focusing. Occasionally, the role may require standing, walking, climbing, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.
