Customer Care Representative
Join a small team of customer service professionals dedicated to providing superior service and creating memorable experiences for our customers. This role supports a variety of customers by gathering, confirming, and processing product orders across a wide range of unique office furniture and accessories that enhance "how people work."
Responsibilities
- Leverage multiple systems to ensure accurate and efficient order entry while maintaining high data integrity.
- Communicate timely and efficiently with the Sales team to update orders, supply, and account status.
- Assist customers daily by clarifying complaints, determining the cause of problems, and selecting the best solution for resolution.
- Handle accurate order entry in compliance with government contracts, clearly identifying and communicating missing or incomplete information.
- Manage inbound customer calls and emails for a specific territory, providing backup support as needed.
- Address customer-related questions, inquiries, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain customer records by updating and keeping thorough and complete notes.
- Partner with other functions (Sales, Finance, Quality, Product, etc.) to facilitate issue resolution.
- Assist in maintaining orders, including ship dates and changes/adjustments to orders.
- Communicate effectively with Distribution Centers to meet customer expectations and requirements.
- Maintain a positive attitude and de-escalate stressful situations.
- Process daily, weekly, and monthly reports as assigned.
- Monitor and troubleshoot order fulfillment.
- Upsell/cross-sell products to customers when appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced customer-service related role.
- A high level of telephone etiquette and professionalism.
- Solid oral communication, grammar, and business writing skills.
- Understanding of the difference between a customer transaction and an interaction.
Preferred Qualifications
- An Associate degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
- Knowledge and experience in JD Edwards.
- Knowledge and experience working with and understanding contracts.
Pay
The starting pay range for this position is $24–$30 per hour. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of posting. Pay may vary based on factors including education, certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.

Physical Requirements
- Regular sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day to accomplish tasks.
- Manual and finger dexterity used regularly with some repetitive finger motions.
- Ability to work in front of a computer screen for long periods of time.
- Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision; ability to identify colors, small letters, and numbers; hand/eye coordination, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
