Customer Care Representative

SEIU Pay Range: $24.47 to $36.66 dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

• Accurately register patients for outpatient services and inpatient admissions.
• Schedule patients for services.
• Perform insurance verifications and co-pay collections.
• Assist patients by providing knowledgeable and exceptional service about the organization.
• Contribute to success by delivering respectful, compassionate, and customized service that anticipates and exceeds individual needs.

Requirements

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and exercise independent judgment in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Working knowledge of general office equipment, including computers, fax machines, scanners, and multi-line phone systems.
• Medical terminology preferred.
• Accurate typing skills, including 10-key proficiency.
• Patience, attentiveness, clear communication, and excellent time management.
• Calming presence and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately perform data entry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience/education.
• Experience in a healthcare field preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Involves standing, walking, stooping, and occasional carrying or lifting of lightweight materials (up to 20 pounds).
• May require sitting for extended periods.
• Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers.
• Requires hand and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination for computer keyboard and office equipment use.
• Potential for contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.
