About the role

The Float Customer Care Representative (CCR) is responsible for accurately registering patients for outpatient services and inpatient admissions, scheduling patients, performing insurance verifications, and collecting co-pays.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately register patients for outpatient services and inpatient admissions
  • Schedule patients
  • Perform insurance verifications
  • Collect co-payments
  • Assist patients when needed based on knowledge of the organization

Requirements

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to flow between tasks and exercise independent judgment
  • Knowledgeable about the organization to assist patients when needed
  • A working knowledge of general office equipment including computer, fax, scanner, and multi-line phone system
  • Medical terminology is preferred
  • Ability to type with accuracy and minimal error including 10 key
  • Work in CMH clinics and the hospital
  • Patience, attentiveness, clear communication skills, excellent time management skills, and a calming presence
  • Attention to detail and accurate data entry capabilities

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience or education in healthcare field preferred
  • Medical terminology knowledge preferred
