MISTAFF is a collaborative effort of the Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators, Michigan Association of Superintendents & Administrators, Michigan Association of School Boards, Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals, Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association, and Michigan School Public Relations Association.

About the Role

We are seeking dedicated educators to fill various teaching positions across Michigan K-12 schools. These roles are ideal for professionals passionate about shaping the future of education through alternative certification pathways.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Assess and record students' progress, providing feedback to support their development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices in teaching and learning.
• Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance instructional skills.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and school initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Commitment to pursuing or holding Michigan teacher certification (alternative certification pathways available).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience working with diverse student populations is preferred.
