About the role
This is a route-based, service-oriented position that requires early-morning starts, beginning as early as 4:00 a.m. Schedule: Monday–Friday.
Responsibilities
- Establish, maintain, and build strong customer relationships through responsive and creative sales and service strategies
- Grow existing customer business through sales and retention programs
- Provide prompt, effective solutions to customer needs
- Maximize route revenue through improved time management and upgraded product mix
- Maintain and update contract terms by identifying changes in programs that require updated paperwork
- Serve as ImageFIRST’s “face” to customers and potential customers
- Support company values and the ImageFIRST way to positively impact associates, customers, and the community
- Handle all administrative aspects of sales and identify and resolve customer concerns
- Ensure customer satisfaction with company products and services
- Develop positive relationships with principal customer contacts
- Maintain an enthusiastic and professional attitude
- Maximize customer contract term
- Manage route to maximize efficiency, productivity, and revenue
- Operate company equipment safely and responsibly
- Comply with applicable rules and regulations relating to safety and operation of commercial motor vehicles
- Increase account revenue by selling additional products and services
- Successfully complete sales programs
- Develop and implement strategies to identify new business opportunities
- Meet or exceed sales objectives
- Manage product loads, inventories, quality issues (stains/damage), and tape changes
- Demonstrate product knowledge: pricing, codes, colors, sizing, changes/quantities, availability, and product application
- Organize truck the night before service; manage invoices, check rails, count-by-man, linen control sheet, and maintain route books
- Unload truck: check-in, empty soil carts, and weigh carts
- Maintain account appearance: organize rails, hanger racks, plastic, wet bags, posters, and repair bags
- Communicate timely repairs, preventive maintenance, and accidents
- Prepare and follow up on work orders; ensure invoice accuracy, credits, and collection requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience within sales or a route sales role
- Must possess a valid DOT (Department of Transportation) medical certification or obtain one within a designated timeframe
- Ability to lift 25 pounds on a frequent basis
- Ability to drive a commercial motor vehicle for up to 10 hours daily
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License and excellent driving record
- Sense of direction and knowledge of area required
