About the Opportunity
The Customer Administrative Specialist supports civilian markets at the state and local government levels by facilitating sales activities, maintaining accurate customer records, managing orders, and supporting customer engagement. This role contributes to sales execution by developing customer relationships, identifying prospects, and ensuring administrative processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Make outbound sales contacts, including cold calls, to develop a portfolio of buying customers.
- Accept orders, close sales, maintain customer records, and complete required documentation accurately and promptly.
- Identify and qualify prospective customers and record prospecting activities in Salesforce.
- Represent assigned product lines and coordinate with other sales teams where territories overlap.
- Manage accounts, products, services, and sales processes of limited complexity.
- Inform customers about new products, services, pricing, and updates.
- Maintain regular communication with the Sales Director and Team Lead to support sales priorities and execution.
- Develop and maintain a proficient understanding of Accurint, including product demonstrations and pricing discussions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Basic functional knowledge of selling and account management, with the ability to develop deeper product and solution expertise.
- Ability to understand key business drivers and apply them to daily responsibilities.
- Proficiency with Salesforce and other internal operational systems.
- Ability to present information clearly and explain technical details effectively.
- Persuasive communication skills in standard customer and sales situations.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
Pay
Base pay varies by location; for example, the New York home-based range is $46,900–$77,800, with a total target cash range of $72,100–$120,000. The mix between base and variable compensation depends on the specific sales role. Geographic differentials may apply based on local market rates.
