About Our Team
Our strategic civilian sales team supports state and local government customers by helping retain existing revenue, generate new business within current accounts, and pursue new customer acquisition. The team works in a collaborative sales environment focused on responsive customer engagement, accurate account management, and effective support for products and services that help government agencies achieve their missions.
About the Role
The Customer Administrative Specialist plays a key supporting role for Civilian Markets at the state and local levels. This role is responsible for supporting sales activity, maintaining accurate customer and prospect records, assisting with order and documentation processes, and helping the sales organization engage prospective and existing customers effectively. You will make outbound sales contacts, pursue leads, support customer ordering activity, and maintain communication with sales leadership. The Customer Administrative Specialist uses product knowledge, internal systems, and strong organization skills to help develop a portfolio of buying customers while supporting efficient sales execution.
Responsibilities
- Making outbound sales contacts, including cold calls, and pursuing sales leads to develop a portfolio of buying customers.
- Accepting orders, closing sales, maintaining customer records, and completing required documentation accurately and on time.
- Identifying and qualifying prospective customers and recording sales prospecting activity in Salesforce.
- Representing an assigned product line that may overlap with other sales teams’ territories, as applicable.
- Working within territory, account, product, service, or sales processes of limited complexity.
- Informing customers of new product and service introductions, pricing, and relevant updates.
- Maintaining regular communication with the Sales Director and Team Lead to support sales priorities and execution.
- Maintaining a proficient understanding of Accurint, including the ability to demonstrate the platform and discuss pricing plans.
- Performing all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Experience & Education
- High School Diploma
- Basic functional knowledge and skills in selling and account management, with the ability to deepen knowledge of products and solutions.
- Ability to understand key business drivers and apply that knowledge to daily work.
Technical & Professional Skills
- Proficiency using Salesforce and other internal operational systems.
- Ability to present information in an appropriate style and explain technical information clearly.
- Ability to persuade clients and others in standard situations.

Primary Location Base Pay Range:
- Home based-New York: $46,900 - $77,800
- New York City: $51,200 - $85,000
- Rochester, NY: $42,600 - $70,800
- Ohio: $40,500 - $67,200
- U.S. National: $42,600 - $70,800
Total Target Cash Range:
- Home based-New York: $72,100 - $120,000
- New York City: $78,700 - $130,900
- Rochester, NY: $65,600 - $109,000
- Ohio: $62,300 - $103,600
- U.S. National: $65,600 - $109,000
Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. Pay mix between base and variable pay varies based on sales role.
