The Customer Accounts Manager position at Aaron’s is a high-energy, recognition-based career with purpose. This role drives store success by managing customer accounts and supporting customers in achieving their goals of ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Connect and relate well to people, demonstrating empathy and listening attentively
  • Navigate difficult conversations with professionalism
  • Strategically influence team performance to achieve company standards for collections and lease renewals
  • Assist General Manager with operational functions including account recommendations, payment frequency, and payment history monitoring
  • Build authentic customer relationships to support customers in their ownership goals and drive sales
  • Manage the collections process by counseling customers to gain timely lease/merchandise renewals
  • Review and close lease agreements, confirming customer identification, collecting money, and obtaining customer signatures
  • Contact customers who have not renewed merchandise agreements
  • Maintain customers' contact over the phone and through home visits
  • Update customers' information and maintain accuracy
  • Manage the accounts department to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals
  • Clean and certify merchandise in the cleaning station for all merchandise personally returned
  • Complete and maintain weekly vehicle maintenance sheets and route sheets daily
  • Load, secure, and protect products in company vehicles
  • Safely operate company vehicles
  • Aid the Sales Team as needed

Requirements

  • At least 21 years old with a valid state Driver’s License and compliance with the Company’s Driver Qualification Policy, including a satisfactory MVR
  • Ability to work varying hours from 8 am to 9 pm
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without help and up to 300 lbs. with a dolly
  • Two years of college or two years of previous management experience preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High energy with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Proper telephone etiquette
  • Uphold the Aaron’s Brand and protect company assets
  • Professional appearance
  • Proficient computer skills

Pay

The salary range for this role is $14.00 to $14.75 per hour. This position is also eligible for incentive pay based on performance.

Schedule

Varying hours from 8 am to 9 pm.
