About the role

The Explore This Location Customer Accounts Manager role is located in corporate retail stores and is responsible for driving store success by managing the customer accounts department. Key responsibilities include connecting with customers, recommending account changes, and ensuring timely lease and merchandise renewals.

Responsibilities

  • Attain and maintain customer accounts, updating information in the store computer system and documenting payment appointments
  • Assist the General Manager with operational functions, including account recommendations, payment frequency monitoring, and payment history review
  • Build authentic customer relationships to support their ownership goals and drive sales
  • Manage the collections process by counseling customers for timely lease/merchandise renewals
  • Close lease agreements, confirm customer identification, collect payments, and obtain customer signatures
  • Contact customers who have not renewed merchandise agreements, make home visits, update customer information, and maintain accuracy
  • Manage the accounts department staff to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals
  • Clean and certify merchandise in the cleaning station for all merchandise personally returned
  • Complete and maintain weekly vehicle maintenance sheets and route sheets daily
  • Operate and safely load, secure, and protect products in the company vehicle
  • Aid the Sales Team as needed

Requirements

  • At least 21 years old with a valid state Driver’s License and compliance with the Company’s Driver Qualification Policy, including a satisfactory MVR
  • Ability to work varying hours from 8 am to 9 pm
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without help and up to 300 lbs. with a dolly
  • Two years of college or two years of previous management experience preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High energy with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Proper telephone etiquette
  • Uphold the Aaron’s Brand and protect company assets
  • Professional appearance
  • Proficient computer skills
