Custodian & Waste Disposer (3rd Shift)

About the role

Our Custodian and Waste Disposer is responsible for proactively organizing, sorting, and removing scrap and waste material associated with production. The team maintains the cleanliness of the production floor and works independently to keep manufacturing areas orderly. This position supports AprilAire’s mission to provide healthy air solutions to millions of homes.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash bins and load dumpsters.
• Operate a forklift to load scrap skid trailers and weigh/load metal bales.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, or shovel as needed to keep the production floor clean.
• Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of manufacturing areas.

Requirements

• Organizational skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently while supporting the larger team.
• Experience operating a forklift.
• Attention to detail, quality, and safety.
• Physical ability to frequently stand, bend, twist, and reach.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lb.

Schedule

3rd Shift: Sunday – Thursday, 11 pm – 7 am.

Pay

Salary: $21.53 per hour plus a $2.50 per hour shift premium.
