About the role

Join our team as a Porter/Custodian and take pride in keeping facilities clean, organized, and running smoothly. You’ll help maintain a fresh, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone.

Responsibilities

• Keep facilities fresh, clean, and safe for all occupants
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors
• Take out trash and recycling
• Restock supplies, empty wastebaskets, and replace liners
• Clean and sanitize toilets, basins, and urinals
• Damp mop floors with disinfectant
• Spot clean soiled areas as needed
• Perform general cleaning in restrooms, offices, cafeterias, sales floors, and other assigned areas
• Strip and wax floors; perform wet floor care
• Operate equipment such as scrubbers, extractors, and buffers
• Refill restroom dispensers
• Complete tasks according to company schedule and customer expectations
• Follow directions from Lead Custodian or Management

Requirements

• Attention to detail and a passion for cleanliness
• Reliability and punctuality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and tackle tasks hands-on
• Adherence to safety guidelines and company policies

Physical Requirements

• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds
• Perform repetitive physical activities such as bending, twisting, reaching, climbing, squatting, pushing, and pulling
• Operate small power tools safely and effectively
• Stoop, kneel, crawl, bend, turn, and reach in areas that may not be fully air-conditioned
• Stand and walk for extended periods, including climbing stairs and ladders
• Work independently in a fast-paced or stressful environment

Schedule

• Day shift
• Weekend shift
• 4:00 AM to 10:00 AM (must be flexible)
