Custodian - Substitute

About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and reliable custodial staff to provide custodial services at designated locations, ensuring a clean, safe, and attractive environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning floors, windows, and restrooms, including sanitizing fixtures and replacing supplies.
• Maintaining grounds, including sidewalks, entry points, and outdoor areas.
• Reporting damages and maintenance needs, assisting with routine upkeep, and following established schedules.
• Ensuring building security by checking doors, windows, and fire hazards.
• Assisting with basic maintenance tasks like replacing light bulbs and handling tools and equipment.
• Supporting safety protocols and responding to work-related issues promptly.

Requirements

• Ability to perform basic math and interpret instructions.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work with diverse groups.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 90 pounds occasionally, with frequent bending, climbing, and reaching.
• Reliable transportation and at least 18 years of age.
• Minimal use of technology for data entry and work orders.

Work Environment

Indoors and outdoors, occasionally near mechanical equipment and chemicals, with moderate noise levels. Reasonable accommodations can be provided for individuals with disabilities.
