Custodian (Part-Time)

About the role

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor oversees the Custodian (Part-Time) who performs light maintenance, cleaning, and other custodial services. This is a year-round position.

Responsibilities

• Vacuums carpets and rugs.
• Washes and dries clothes, rags, and mop heads.
• Sweeps, mops, buffs, and scrubs floors.
• Dusts, waxes, washes, and polishes furniture and woodwork.
• Safely empties and cleans waste receptacles when necessary and monitors the compactor.
• Cleans bathrooms daily and when necessary.
• Polishes metal work.
• Tends surrounding walks and grounds when necessary.
• Performs minor repairs.
• Waters and maintains plants.
• Safely moves furniture and loads/unloads freight.
• Safely moves tables and chairs as needed and sets up for meetings as required.
• Cleans storage areas.
• Provides oversight to contract custodial personnel.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive in the state of Minnesota.
• Must successfully complete a background check.
• Must comply with organizational and departmental policies.
• Must comply with data practices policies and standards relative to not public data.

Conditions of Employment

• Will be employed through a third party staffing agency.
• Must pass a background check.
