Requirements

• Knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment used in custodial work
• Knowledge of maintaining school buildings and grounds in a safe, clean, and orderly condition
• Ability to use cleaning materials and equipment with skill and efficiency
• Ability to perform heavy physical labor
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions
• Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
• One year of experience in custodial or general labor work
• Ability to read and write at a level necessary to perform the duties of the position
• Possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license
• Submit a recent DMV (3-year minimum) driving record with application
• Training will be provided for responsibilities related to asbestos and hazardous materials
• Criminal history check and pre-employment medical assessment required prior to employment

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning, custodial functions, grounds maintenance, and gardening work at an assigned school site
• Exercise responsibility for the general cleanliness of assigned locations
• Perform a variety of duties in the upkeep of assigned school site and related areas

Pay

Starting salary: $3,594.62 per month

Schedule

• 12-month position (to begin as soon as possible)
• 8 hours daily, working hours 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
