Custodian (On-Call)

About the role

Under general supervision, the Custodian is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of the community per established policies, procedures, Company standards of quality, cleanliness, resident satisfaction, safety and security, and regulatory agency requirements. This position demonstrates and promotes service excellence and resident confidentiality at all times. As a representative and team member of the environmental services department, this position presents oneself in a manner that reflects professionalism and ensures resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Strips, seals, waxes, and buffs floor surfaces; performs daily floor maintenance; cleans and shampoos carpets.
• Cleans common areas, including public restrooms, elevators, offices, public rooms, beauty salon, resident and employee lounges; dusts, sanitizes, and scrubs.
• Empties trash receptacles; may deposit recyclable material in proper receptacles; picks up trash and keeps exterior perimeter clean.
• Takes note of safety concerns and needed repairs; performs repairs or reports to supervisor.
• Pushes a utility cart or drives an electric cart to transport tools, materials, supplies, and equipment; may assist residents with moving.
• Cleans and washes wheelchairs and furniture.
• Cleans or picks up accidents in the interior or building.
• May fix drapery rods and/or wash windows, depending on CCRC.
• Performs event set-ups and tear-downs.
• Conducts work tasks safely and in compliance with the facility safety program.
• Provides effective and courteous service to all residents, guests, and co-workers.
• Promotes and protects the rights of each resident.
• Performs other related work as required.

Requirements

• Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Pay

$20.00 - $24.00/hr depending on experience

Schedule

Per Diem - 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
