On Call Custodian

About the role

The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all assigned areas, delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. We seek team members with strong customer service skills who can work successfully with others.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties and all tasks listed on the daily schedule
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Stop at-risk behavior of others and self
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
• Perform repetitive tasks and maintain a clean work area
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Communicate professionally with leads, supervisors, co-workers, managers, and customers
• Fill in during staff shortages and support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction, reporting systems, and environmental standards

Requirements

• May be required to have a valid driver’s license
• Completed all safety and task training certification
• May be required to be forklift certified
• Bilingual is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment, and willingness to share with the team
• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of cleaning equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
• 3–6 months of training or experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Pay

$15.50–$16.50 per hour

Schedule

• On call
• Sunday–Saturday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
• Sunday–Saturday, 1:00 PM–9:30 PM
