ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• High Dusting: Using a treated high duster, clean surfaces above shoulder height.
• Cleaning the High Duster: Gently brush into service cart.
• Sanitizing / Spot Cleaning: Use germicidal solution to clean surfaces below shoulder height.
• Removing Fingerprints and Smudges: Clean doorknobs and walls with proper solution.
• Spot Cleaning Windows: Use proper solution to clean windows.
• Bathroom Cleaning: Use germicidal solution to clean various bathroom surfaces.
• Emptying and Cleaning Trash Cans: Remove liners and wipe trash cans, refill as needed.
• Floor Dusting/Vacuuming: Dust mop and vacuum rooms, paying attention to under furniture and trash.
• Grounds Care: Clean and check outside areas, including sidewalks, flower beds, and curb lines.
• Customer Relations and Service: Knock on doors before entering, be friendly and answer questions.
• Work Quietly: Reduce noise and stay in assigned area unless directed otherwise.
• Maintain Personal Appearance: Keep clean and neat appearance.
• Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned or directed by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of basic janitorial operations, methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Communication skills to interact with co-workers and supervisors.
• Operate janitorial equipment safely and effectively.
• Physical ability to perform assigned duties, including lifting, carrying, and reaching.
