About the role
The Custodian Lead position at UW Medical Center – Northwest Environmental Services Department is a 100% FTE (40 hours per week) Day Shift role. The position highlights responsibilities including leading custodians, ensuring cleanliness, assisting with training, and covering shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provides direction to custodians I and II.
- Assigns and allocates work to employees; coordinates and monitors work assignments.
- Sets and adjusts priorities.
- Affords assistance with establishing work schedules.
- Affords assistance in interviewing applicants.
- Assists management in coverage for supervisors and managers in their absence.
- Completes written records and documentation.
- Affords assistance with record keeping, such as cleaning project tracking.
- Solves routine operating problems.
- Checks/evaluates the custodians' work for quality and efficiency.
Requirements
- One year experience in custodial work in an institutional setting.
- Led or supervisory experience is preferred.

Compensation, Benefits & Position Details
Pay Range: Minimum $24.06 hourly, Maximum $35.09 hourly. For information about benefits, visit here. Shift: Evening Shift (United States of America). Temporary or Regular: Regular position. FTE (Full-Time Equivalent): 100.00%. Union/Bargaining Unit: SEIU 1199NW UWMC Northwest Service and Maintenance.
