Custodian II

About the role

The Building Services Department is seeking (1) Custodian II to join the already excellent team taking the Building Services Department to the next level of excellence!

Responsibilities

• Cleans and performs room set-ups in assigned building areas following established routines and procedures.
• Sweeps, dust mops, wet mops, scrubs, strips, restores, buffs, and waxes floors, vacuums.
• Removes trash, cleans counters, equipment, and furnishings.
• Cleans and restocks restrooms.
• Handles emergency clean-ups; performs other related work as needed.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience in an institutional, industrial, or commercial setting.
• Ability to lift approximately 30-50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform heavy lifting when required.
• Some knowledge of custodial services practices, techniques, and procedures.
• Six months of experience using powered cleaning equipment and restoring floors.
• Experience serving as a lead person on a cleaning team.
• The ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Some knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment used in institutional, industrial, or commercial settings.
• The physical ability needed to perform manual work for an extended period of time.
• Completion of a documented formal training in facilities course.

Pay

Competitive salary of $32,400 - $38,900 with great benefits: ($15.57 - $18.70 an hour).
