Custodian I Night Shift - Capitol Complex

About the role

This position independently performs a range of tasks related to maintaining building interiors and furnishings in Capitol Complex managed facilities. Assignments may include keeping exterior walkways clear of debris and snow.

Responsibilities

• Custodian/Housekeeping Services – Office and common area cleaning including trash removal, dusting, vacuuming, window cleaning, multi-surface cleaning, brass cleaning and polishing, hard-surface floor cleaning and recycling.
• Restrooms cleaning including trash removal, fixtures, stocking supplies, sweeping and mopping.
• Emergency response and other duties as assigned – Position may be called upon for additional duties that may include snow removal, emergency response and assistance (such as a flooded floor), inventory counts, meetings, and assisting other trades with various projects.

Conditions of Employment

• Need to be able to stand for at least 8 hours/day
• Physical demands: able to exert force to move up to 100 pounds occasionally, stooping, kneeling and crouching
