- Full-time (12-month) calendar: 248 work days, 13 paid holidays

Pay Adjustments
- New Hire Experience: 1% for two or more years of full-time like experience, plus an additional 1% per year (not to exceed the maximum hiring range of 5%)
- New Hire Education: 1% of hourly rate for a college degree in a similar field (combined with work experience credit not to exceed the maximum hiring range of 5%)
About the Role
Maintain a safe, clean, and attractive physical plant.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, dust, vacuum, scrub, wax, and polish floors and surfaces
- Wash windows, walls, woodwork, and equipment
- Clean assigned areas to prescribed standards and requirements
- Empty trash receptacles
- Perform minor repairs
- Move furniture and equipment based on the needs of the facility
- Replace light bulbs and perform minor maintenance
- Inspect all fire equipment on campus and maintain records of inspection
- Report safety/security hazards and needs for major repairs in an expeditious manner
- Secure the facility, ensuring building is locked/unlocked as required
- Handle emergency custodial duties for principals, teachers, and staff
- Follow district policies as outlined
- Perform all duties safely and prudently as directed by supervisors

Requirements
- Ability to read and write English as it pertains to job functions
- Previous custodial experience desired
- Satisfactory criminal background check

Physical Requirements
Positions in this classification typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, walking, sitting, finger or manual dexterity, repetitive finger motion, speaking, hearing, seeing (with correction), focusing ability, or other factors applicable to the job.
- Stand and walk constantly on various floor surfaces while performing various duties, including but not limited to push/pull force of up to 100 pounds for various machines
- Stand constantly and walk frequently, lifting items of various sizes, up to 50 pounds (items over 50 pounds require a second staff member to lift safely)
- Rarely climb ladders to perform various stocking, inventory, cleaning, or maintenance tasks
- May be subject to travel, fumes, odors, chemicals, blood-borne pathogens, workplace restrictions, cold and/or hot temperatures, and loud noises
