Custodian- Clarke County

This posting is for multiple part-time custodian positions in Athens, Georgia, providing services to the Fort Valley USARC.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and maintain bathrooms using specific procedures and products
• Dust, polish, and wipe furniture
• Empty and wash garbage bins and handle recycling procedures
• Vacuum flooring throughout facilities using upright or wide area vacuums
• Assist in setting up facilities for meetings, events, or classrooms
• Properly use and maintain power equipment and tools to ensure safety
• Secure buildings and doors when not in use
• Follow instructions regarding chemical use and safety hazards in the workplace

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of experience in a similar role
• Ability to perform tasks such as moving, carrying, and storing items
• Ability to walk, stand, kneel, and reach as required for cleaning
• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions
• Ability to work with a team
• Reliability and willingness to perform assigned daily tasks
