Custodian

About the role

The Custodian at Good Day Farm is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the farm’s facilities, equipment, and grounds. This includes routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, shampooing carpets, cleaning restrooms, and setting up for events.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned areas in Facility buildings/rooms
• Maintains stock and supplies for daily tasks
• Sweeps, mops, and vacuums as needed
• Cleans restrooms, offices, and restocks supplies
• Picks up trash, empties garbage, sanitizes trash containers, and disposes of trash
• Cleans and polishes brass, silver, glass, and drinking fountains
• Operates polishing machines, carpet machines, and vacuum cleaners
• Cleans rooms, monitors for wear and tear, and reports any damage or repairs
• Prepares table linens and sets up space for events
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain a state medical marijuana badge and pass a background check
• Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with GDF Team
• Must perform under high pressure situations
• Must have self-motivation, excellent organizational skills, and a positive attitude
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed
• Must have reliable transportation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience performing similar duties preferred

Skills

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to respond quickly to sounds
• Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
• Ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
• Ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
• Ability to sit or stand for up to 12 hours at a time
• Ability to work in bright/hot/humid conditions
• Ability to work in low light situations
• Lifting, standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, repetitive use of hands, grasping, visual activity
• Exposure to limited hazardous chemicals
