About the role

We are looking for an associate who values respect, teamwork, and community growth. This position focuses on maintaining cleanliness and safety within the store and its surroundings.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, wash, mop, and perform general clean-up work.
• Clean restrooms and break rooms, replenish supplies, dispose of wastepaper, and maintain the building and surrounding grounds in orderly condition.
• Operate motor-driven cleaning equipment (if over 18 years of age and trained).
• Maintain cleaning equipment in good repair.
• Assist in making cardboard bales.
• Maintain the sales floor, ensuring it is free of slip and trip hazards.
• Clear sidewalks and porch of snow and ice.
• Dispose of trash and debris in the back room, break room, front-end, and parking lot.
• Notify store management of required repairs, maintenance, or unsafe conditions.
• Inform the front-end manager when additional supplies are needed.
• Assist department managers in meeting sanitation requirements, including maintaining sink traps.
• Cooperate with co-workers and superiors to ensure smooth store operations.
• Continuously improve job performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the store manager.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• No prior experience required.
