Responsibilities

• Sweeps, washes, mops, and performs general clean-up work.
• Cleans restrooms and break rooms, replenishes supplies, disposes of wastepaper, and maintains the building and surrounding grounds in orderly condition.
• May operate motor-driven cleaning equipment (if over 18 years of age and training is provided).
• Maintains cleaning equipment in good repair.
• May assist in making cardboard bales.
• Maintains the sales floor, ensuring it is free of slip and trip hazards.
• Clears sidewalks and porch of snow and ice.
• Disposes of trash and debris in the back room, break room, front-end, and parking lot.
• Notifies store management of required repairs, maintenance, or unsafe conditions.
• Informs front-end management when additional supplies are needed.
• Aids department managers in meeting sanitation requirements, including maintaining sink traps.
• Ensures smooth store operations by cooperating with co-workers and superiors.
• Continuously improves job performance.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the store manager.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• No prior experience required.
