About the role

Princeton Day School has an immediate opening for an experienced Custodian. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate who would like to join a wonderful long-tenured Custodian Team. The position works Monday through Friday from 3:00pm to 11:30pm with some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Clean, polish, and disinfect bathroom fixtures, urinals, toilets, and mirrors
• Clean bathroom walls and floors
• Replenish all bathroom supplies
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax floors and stairs
• Clean walls and baseboards
• Wash windows
• Vacuum all carpets
• Collect trash and recycling and place in proper dumpster
• Ensure dumpster area is neat and clean
• Clean all desk tops and polish furniture
• Wipe down all chalk boards and/or white boards
• Set-up/break-down for events and lunch
• Outside garbage removal from all PDS residential properties
• Garbage removal from receptacles at all athletic fields
• Respond immediately to all emergency situations in the school (floods, sick children, spills)
• Snow removal including shoveling, plowing, and operating other snow removal equipment
• Perform Buildings & Grounds functions when requested or required
• Perform other duties as assigned or required

Pay

$19.00 an hour / $39,520 a year

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 3:00pm to 11:30pm with some weekends
